Fifa World Cup 2010

The 19th FIFA World Cup tournament, which has been held for the first time in South Africa, is indeed a great crowning for the all the African Nation. Thirty- two qualified teams from across the globe participated in this premier football tournament.

Argentina or Germany, well right now these are the most contending teams in this world cup. As the world cup finals are about to take place in almost two weeks from now, well everyone is speculating the probable winner this time.

On the African ground, we have definitely seen some of the finest shots, Carlos Tevez
and Messy the most favorite of all. Portugal's team is also not far behind, indeed very worth mentioning. The match between Brazil and Portugal made it very clear that the team is well prepared to face any opponent. Brazil seemed to lacking somewhere, the vigour and spirit is definitely mising this time.

People across the globe are glued to the television sets,as all are waiting to see some great shots in the coming days. Back in India, people are celebrating this season in many ways. In Kolkata alone, we no longer seem to be part of a sinlge nation , we are one with the players. Every now and then can spot young man swearing Argentina's football jersy , in some places one can notice flags of Argentina , Brazil, and what not.No boundaries , no limitations, the whole world has become one

TMC or CPM..... what's West Bengal's verdict

How is Bengal responding to the new political times? It's really unpredictable at times, but the recent assembly elections have proved that this time predictons have been precise.

The increasing trust and confidence of people in favor of Trinamol has been clearly testified since last college elections and subsequently the assembly elections.
What else remains is the great contest of the the Bidhan Sabha elections. Mamata Banerjee indeed has great charisma, definitely a great opponent of the CPM party.Wonder,if Jyoti Basu was here ,what could have been the political scenario. Well, things would have been surely different.

Today, one thing that haunts our minds today that we have politicians, Mamata or Buddha, but where is the leader.Someone who can guide us, someone who has a vision. Merely dreaming and promising to turn Kolkata into London is just lulling a baby to sleep. Are we so, this is the question. We think and say the change has come, but where is it.Hadn't our grandfather and father brought a change in the the late 70's, a great change- the CPM as the ruling party, the undefending political party. History has repeated itself... something for everyone to see and learn.
